Administrative Pastor
Peninsula Grace Brethren Church is seeking a man to join our church’s ministry team in the capacity of Administrative Pastor (AP). This full-time position should be filled by and individual who feels led by God to the unique challenges and rewards of ministry in Soldotna, Alaska. The AP is responsible for conducting the day-to-day operations of the church, including direction and oversight of all paid and volunteer staff. Other essential functions of this position are provided in the enclosed position description. A spiritual gift in administration is considered essential to success in this role. We are looking for someone who will complement our strong community outreach programs and support the committed individuals in our body who are working out their calling in these areas. You will join a well-established body of believers who are committed to reaching our local community. The AP should continue to foster an approach to outreach that involves understanding the local culture and works to display the love of our Lord Jesus in an understandable and relevant manner. Position Objective: The Administrative Pastor will implement the structure and administrative oversight required to assure the ongoing health, growth, and mission fulfillment of PGBC. He will manage the day to day operations of the church and provide oversight and leadership to the paid staff and volunteers of the church. Primary Responsibilities: This position is responsible for: -Coordinate Pastoral Care through small groups and individuals. -Oversee staff in order to provide support to our body and it’s ministries. Includes recruitment, compensation, direction, motivation, discipline and termination. -Oversee the development of Deacons -Ensure legal and regulatory compliance. -Creation, maintenance, training and implementation of policies and procedures. -Ensure the training and equipping of Lay Pastors to be small group leaders. -Actively participate with elders in establishing vision and strategy for the church -Ensure that staff and volunteers are equipped to effectively carry out their ministries -Church communications -Oversight of Budget and finance administration -Coordinate facility use and maintenance. -Be a part of the Preaching Team This pastor will meet the following general requirements: -Diligently seeks a vital and growing personal relationship with the Lord. He will be a student of the scriptures and a man of prayer. -Meets the qualifications of an elder as outlined in scripture (1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1) -Fully embraces the statement of faith, vision, and values of PGBC -Seven years of related church experience or three years of experience with a post graduate degree in church or business management desired. -Be committed to life balance between family, ministry, and community -Key spiritual giftedness in the areas of administration and leadership, preferably with an aptitude for teaching -Work forty + hours per week to accomplishing the position objective -Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite of programs ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. ) or equivalent. -Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fit to Church Organization: The Administrative Pastor will serve alongside the Elder board. The Administrative Pastor is an Elder and accountable directly to the Elder Board. The Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church of Hollidaysburg, PA is seeking a full time pastor to lead our congregation. We are praying for God’s will in leading us to the man He wants to lead our church in growth. We realize a pastor can not do everything himself, and Vicksburg is a warm friendly church with many people ready to use their talents for the Lord. We are looking for a pastor who can relate to and counsel those who are hurting or going through difficult situations in their lives.
